The truth behind what you flush?

These actions are having a huge impact on your network and pumping stations. The network and pumping stations are only designed to deal with the 3 P’s – Poo, pee and paper! Any other items will cause a huge issue.

Please dispose of your waste responsibly.

We have found rags wrapped around the impellers in the pumping stations, this comes from what is being poured down the sinks or flushed down the toilet, resulting in less effective pumping stations.

We all need the pumping stations to be working at optimum level for them to be reliable and be working at satisfactory levels to deal with human waste.

The majority of sewer blockages are caused by inappropriate items being poured down sinks and flushed down toilets. Unfortunately, it is all of our customers that will end up paying for the offenses through increases in their water bills.

How can you prevent blockages?

It’s simple, only flush the 3 P’s:

  • Poo,
  • pee and
  • Paper
