Moving Home

Moving in? Moving out?

It’s important to let us know if you are moving into, within, or out of our area.

You can complete this form up to 28 days before you move, and any time afterwards. This form allows us to update or add your details to our records.

We ask for your contact details so that we can contact you about your account or about the services we provide to you.  If you are unsure about the services we offer you, please call our Billing Team on 0333 000 0113.

Please note that if you are moving out and you don’t let us know, you could be liable for water and/or wastewater charges after the day you have moved out.

Always take a meter reading when you move in or out of a new home.

I'm moving out of my home?

Please contact us as soon as possible if you are moving home.  We require at least 5 working days’ notice by telephone or 10 working days’ notice by letter to produce a final bill.

When you inform us that you are moving out, you can either agree to provide us with a meter reading or allow us to use an estimated meter reading to calculate your final bill. If you would like us to take a final meter reading on the day that move out you must give us at least 2 working days’ notice by calling us, sending us an email or by giving us notice to that effect when you notify us about moving home.

It is important to notify us that you have moved and to provide us with an accurate meter read otherwise you will remain liable for all charges:

28 days after we find out you are no longer at the premises

The new occupier informs us that they have moved in and are now responsible for paying water/sewerage charges

The date the meter is normally read.

Once we’ve got all the information we need, we’ll send you your final bill within 5 working days. If there’s a credit on your account we’ll either transfer your credit to your new account, or process a refund within 5 to 15 days, depending on the amount we owe you and the way you made your payments.

It is important to remember that if you receive water or sewerage services from another company, you will also need to inform them. If you are unsure about the services you receive from us, you can either contact our Billing Team on 0333 000 0113 or the information can be found on your Icosa Water bill.

I need my water and wastewater disconnected

Should you require a water or sewerage supply to be disconnected, you must give us 14 working days’ notice.

It is important to remember that if you receive water or sewerage services from another company, you will also need to inform them. If you are unsure about the services you receive from us, you can either contact our Billing Team on 0333 000 0113 or the information can be found on your Icosa Water bill.
