Invitation to respond to Icosa Water Draft Drought Plan

Icosa Water’s Draft Drought Plan sets out the short term operational measures that Icosa Water plans to take before, during and after a drought.

At present Icosa Water does not own or operate its own water resources but relies on the provision of bulk supply transfers from regional supply companies. This company is responsible for monitoring the water resources and bulk supply transfers. Icosa Water’s strategy is to liaise closely with host companies regarding overall water resource and to maintain lines of communication during periods of drought as outlined within the plan.

On 15 March 2018 we launched the public consultation on our Draft Drought Plan 2019 and we are inviting stakeholders to review the draft plan and to provide feedback.

You are invited to respond to our Draft Drought Plan 2019 in writing to the Secretary of State before the end of the consultation period which is 15 May 2018.

You can respond:

  • by email to water.resources@defra.gsi.gov.uk, or
  • by post to: Secretary of State Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Icosa Water – Draft Drought Plan, Water Resources, Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs, Area 3D, Nobel House, 17 Smith Square, London, SW1P 3JR
